Mexico City – UFC flyweight Victor Altamirano finally gets to fight in Mexico where he will get to fight in front of his family against Felipe Dos Santos at UFC Mexico City.
“I’m excited. I’m euphoric. I’m really looking forward for this fight. It is the first time in which two of my passions in life are happening and existing together in the same place,” Altamirano told reporters on Wednesday.
“One of them being the sport that I love, and the other one being the family that I love. They both get to exist for the first time in the same place.”
Fighting in Mexico has always been a goal for Altamirano.
“I would say it’s a big bucket list,” he said.
He faces Dos Santos who will look to rebound from his first career loss at the hands of Manel Kape.
“He’s an aggressive opponent. He displayed himself very well against Kape. I know he’s going to come out swinging. We just need to make sure that we keep the pace, we’ve got to use the elevation to our advantage, and we want to make sure that he feels the same pressure that he gives,” Altamirano said.
“We don’t want to budge in, and we want to make sure that we are as accurate as possible.”
