Dan Ige starched Andre Fili with an overhand right Saturday night in Las Vegas during the co-main event of UFC Vegas 86. Round one of the featherweight fight started off quite fast with both men throwing bombs off the rip. Ige was able to capitalize on a more or less “lazy” jab by Fili and catch him with a huge right hand that sent Fili to the canvas, with just one more follow-up landing before the ref made the save.
With the victory, Dan Ige moves to 3-1 in his last four fights, and the Hawaiian has once again lived up to his “50K” nickname. Or he should, as it will be awfully hard to deny him a post-fight bonus following that stellar performance.
As for Andre “Touchy” Fili, who was unranked to start the night, his dreams of cracking the top 15 of the division will have the wait. A longtime fan favorite known for action packed fights, Fili is now 2-2 in his last four trips to the octagon. He’s been trading wins and losses since mid-2022.
Ige mentioned after the fight that his wife was due to go into, or could have already been in labor – giving him good reason to get the job done early.
Check out how other fighters reacted to Dan Ige’s big finish in the UFC Vegas 86 co-headliner, from welterweight contender Belal Muhammad to ex-champ Kamaru Usman.

People are going to learn to stop calling out people you've trained with. Lol some of us are considerate training partners, but when there is money on the line… whelp.
