What is expected to be UFC 301 in Rio de Janeiro has had an interesting middleweight match-up added to its line-up.
That fight will see Brazil’s own Caio Borralho (15-1, 1NC) take on Scotland’s Paul Craig (17-7-1) at the event scheduled for May 4, 2024.
Promotion officials have yet to officially announce the card or location. News of Borralho vs. Craig was first reported by Ag.Fight, with Borralho confirming the booking and promising to KO Craig.
Caio Borralho sits on a 14-fight win streak and hasn’t suffered defeat inside the cage since his second professional fight. He arrived in the UFC in 2022 after winning a pair of fights on Dana White’s Contender Series the previous year.
He’s since put together five wins inside the octagon, with a Performance of the Night bonus for his submission of Michał Oleksiejczuk last April.
Paul Craig is 1-1 since dropping to middleweight last year. He’ll enter the fight with Borralho off a loss to Brendan Allen. Prior to that he finished Andre Muniz with elbows in Craig’s 185lb debut.
Craig is ranked at #12, and Borralho #15 in the UFC’s middleweight rankings.
