Top welterweight prospect Abdoul Abdouraguimov, who signed with the PFL last year, has booked his welterweight debut in the promotion, and it arrives next month.

Abdouraguimov (17-1, 1NC) will face England’s Jack Grant (19-7) as part of this year’s PFL Europe 1 event, which takes place in Paris, France at the Accor Arena on March 7, 2024.

Known as the “Lazy King,” Abdouraguimov was one of the hottest prospects on the market when he inked his deal with the PFL. He currently sits on a seven-fight win streak, most recently defeating Brad Wheeler via submission in Abdouraguimov’s PFL debut.

Prior to joining the Professional Fighters League, Abdouraguimov was a double-champ in ARES FC, holding gold at both welterweight and middleweight. While born in Russia, Abdoul Abdouraguimov lives in and fights out of France, training at the MMA Factory — meaning he’ll have the crowd behind him in Paris.

Grant has competed for Brave CF, Bellator MMA, and Cage Warriors, among other promotions. He’s won his last two bouts.

One other fight has been announced for this year’s PFL Paris card, as another French star, kickboxer Cedric Doumbe, returns to take on Baissangour Chamsoudinov in the evening’s main event. Both Doumbe and Chamsoudinov boast undefeated records currently, and like Abdouraguimov can be considered some of the hottest prospects in the company, not to mention mixed martial arts as a whole.
