Oktagon MMA headed to Newcastle, England on Saturday with a number one contender’s bout booked for the bantamweight division between Jonas Mågård and Jack Cartwright atop Oktagon 52.
Denmark’s Mågård was looking to bounce back from the loss of his 135lb title, while Cartwright, a former Cage Warriors champ and DWCS hopeful, had picked up a win in his Oktagon debut after falling short on the Contender Series.
Also on the card, flyweight Aaron Aby, having fought cystic fibrosis and cancer, was ready to bounce back from a title fight loss when he took on Christopher Daniel.
