UFC 300 gets another banger of a fight this time in the strawweight division as Jessica Andrade and Marina Rodriguez will meet inside the octagon.
The UFC announced the fight on Thursday.
Rodriguez (17-3-2) bounced back from back-to-back losses with a TKO finish of Michelle Waterson-Gomez last September. She was close to challenging for the title but a loss to Amanda Lemos pushed her opponent to a title shot instead.
Andrade (25-12) snapped a three-fight losing streak when she finished Mackenzie Dern at UFC 295 last November. The UFC veteran has bounced between all 115, 125 and 135 in her career with the promotion, but returns to the strawweight division at UFC 300.
Both fighters are ranked at 115-pounds which makes this fight pretty important for the division. Andrade comes in at #4 while Rodriguez sits at #6 currently. The winner could be one win away or possibly next for a title shot depending on what happens between champion Zhang Weili and challenger Xiaonan Yan on the same card.
