An undefeated teammate and student of Khabib Nurmagomedov has inked a multi-fight deal with the PFL.
Murad Ramazanov, who trains alongside UFC Hall of Famer Nurmagomedov and current UFC lightweight champ Islam Makhachev, has signed on with the promotion, per a recent press release. Terms of the deal were not released, beyond it being a multi-fight agreement.
Ramazanov (11-0, 1NC) has competed in multiple weight classes from featherweight to middleweight throughout his career, most recently in the higher weight classes of the four. He previously plied his trade for ONE Championship, posting a 3-0, 1NC record for the company.
The No Contest came against Roberto Soldic, the result of an accidental groin strike that rendered Soldic, a former KSW champ, unable to continue. The pair would never get the chance to rematch.
“I’m looking forward to continuing my career in the PFL,” Murad Ramazanov said, as quoted in the PFL’s press release. “There is no one in my division from now on.”
The Professional Fighters League had a massive 2023, signing the likes of Cedric Doumbe, Jake Paul, and Francis Ngannou before acquiring rival promotion Bellator MMA, giving it the second-deepest roster in mixed martial arts behind only the UFC. Next up for the league is expected to be a PFL vs. Bellator MMA crossover card featuring champ versus champ fights.
