The UFC’s return to Atlantic City this March has added a fight that was originally scheduled for next weekend.
Dominick Reyes (12-4) and Carlos Ulberg (9-1) will now face off at the event, a move that had previously been speculated on and is now official. UFC Atlantic City takes place on March 30, 2024 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.
Promotion officials announced Reyes vs. Ulberg for the event on social media recently.
The fight had been expected to take place at UFC 297 in Toronto, only to fall through when Ulberg was forced out of the event. That led to a frustrated message from Reyes being posted on social media stating his team was looking at both replacement opponents and the option of rescheduling.
It’s now officially the latter.
The light heavyweight pair find themselves on very different trajectories of late. Reyes has lost his last four, dating back to a title shot against Jon Jones in February 2020. Ulberg however, a teammate of Israel Adesanya at City Kickboxing, has won five straight.
UFC Atlantic City does not yet have a main event announced, but the following match-ups have been reported for the Fight Night card:
- Erin Blanchfield vs. Manon Fiorot
- Virna Jandiroba vs. Loopy Godinez
- Andre Petroski vs. Jacob Malkoun
- Chris Weidman vs. Bruno Silva
- Connor Matthews vs. Dennis Buzukja
- Dominick Reyes vs. Carlos Ulberg
