UFC featherweight Josh Emmett gets his wish to keep his fight at UFC 296.
Bryce Mitchell will step in on short notice marking his second fight of 2023 when he steps into the octagon against Emmett on Dec. 16th in Las Vegas.

Mitchell (16-1) will look to add a second victory in as many fights in 2023. He comes into UFC 296 following a victory over Dan Ige in September. That marked his first victory following a loss to Ilia Topuria that snapped a long win streak with victories over Edson Barboza, Andre Fili and Charles Rosa.
Emmett (18-4) is on a two-fight losing streak dropping fights against Topuria and Yair Rodriguez. He holds victories over fighters such as Ige, Calvin Kattar, Shane Burgos and Mirsad Bektic.
UFC 296 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 16 which will be the last card of the year for the promotion.
