A flyweight matchup has been added to the UFC 298 undercard as fourteenth ranked Andrea Lee will take on Miranda Maverick.
A battle between former training partners has been added to the UFC 298 undercard, as Miranda Maverick (12-5) will take on Andrea Lee (13-8) as announced per Maverick on her Instagram.
The fourteenth ranked Lee will be looking to snap a three fight skid that has seen her compete against Natalia Silva, Maycee Barber, and Viviane Araujo. Though looking to bounce back in a critical moment in her career, “KGB” will be looking to maintain her ranking after 11 fights and five years in the promotion.
Maverick enters following a dominant performance against Priscila Cachoeira last July that saw her return to the win-column. The 26 year-old fighting out of Colorado will be looking to break into the rankings after having had eight fights under the UFC banner dating back to 2020.
Lee and Maverick have trained together in the past when Lee went to work in Colorado with the two having stated they have a friendship after having trained and done fan events together.
UFC 298 takes place at the Honda Center in Anaheim on February 17, 2024. A featherweight title fight between champ Alexander Volkanovski and the undefeated Ilia Topuria headlines.
