High flying middleweight prospect Joe Pyfer (12-2) will compete in his first UFC main event on February 10, 2024 as he’s set to take on number 10 ranked Jack Hermansson (23-8).
Dana White made the announcement Thursday, along with announcing Alexander Volkanovski versus Ilia Topuria for UFC 298, along with Song Yadong versus Chris Gutierrez for December 9.
The Contender Series alum notched an extremely successful 2023 with two big wins over Gerald Meerschaert and Abdul Razak Alhassan. In the 27-year-old’s first three UFC fights, he hasn’t seen the third round once.
Jack Hermansson on the other hand will look to bounce back from the loss he suffered to Roman Dolidze back in December, 2022. Despite not having fought since December 3rd, Hermansson has been booked on two separate occasions, against Derek Brunson and Brendan Allen.
The fight will take place at the UFC Apex and it’ll mark the fourth time of competing there for both “Bodybagz” and “The Joker”.
In his three UFC fights thus far, the Marquez Mixed Martial Arts product has picked up $100,000 in bonus’, winning performance of the night in his fights against Abdul Razak Alhassan and in his UFC debut against Allen Amedovski.
The fights announced for February 10, 2024 so far are:
- Jack Hermansson vs. Joe Pyfer
- Gregory Rodrigues vs Brad Tavares
- Michael Johnson vs Darius Flowers
- Trevin Giles vs Carlos Prates
