The Oktagon MMA vacant heavyweight championship was on the line in the main event of Saturday’s Oktagon 49 in Cologne, Germany.
The belt was up for grabs between Lazar Todev and Hatef Moeil, with both men possessing knockout power. Ahead of the fight, Todev had told Cageside Press that when it came to Moeil, he was “coming to bring him pain” and to “rip his head off.”
Todev entered the bout on a seven-fight win streak in MMA, while Moeil had won ten straight, and was fighting at home in Germany.
