Heavyweights headline UFC Sao Paulo on Saturday, the promotion’s second trip to Brazil in 2023.
The Fight Night event will be topped by Jailton Almeida and Derrick Lewis, with the latter stepping in on short notice to replace Curtus Blaydes. Lewis returned to the win column at UFC 291 earlier this year with a flying knee setting up his finish of Marcos Rogerio de Lima.
That might give Almeida some added motivation to get revenge for his fellow Brazilian.
The Bonfim brothers, Gabriel and Ismael, were also set to be in action on Saturday, with Gabriel Bonfim placed in the co-main event against promotional regular Nicolas Dalby.
