It was a trip to Rome, Italy for U.K. promotion Cage Warriors on Saturday, with Cage Warriors 162 headlined by lightweights Dumitru Girlean and Simone Patrizi.
The fight was a rematch of the pair’s 2021 showdown, which saw Girlean come out on top care of a TKO victory. He, in fact, represented the only loss on Patrizi’s record. Also in action, Alberth Dias, a Bellator alum who was looking for his third consecutive victory, dating back to a win over UFC vet Richie Smullen in 2020.
