UK-based promotion Cage Warriors returned to Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, October 14, 2023 for Cage Warriors 161: Dublin.
The main event saw a lightweight battle in Jan Quaeyhaegens vs Paul Hughes, while UFC alum Mason Jones was also in action. Quaeyhaegens vs. Hughes was expected to determine the next title challenger at 155, while Mason “The Dragon” Jones was hoping to pick up the second win of his post-UFC career, and potentially work his way back to a bigger stage.
That’s two big fights in a division currently reigned over by champ and standout prospect George Hardwick, considered by many a future UFC talent.
