Oktagon MMA was in action on Saturday, with a title unification bout topping the Oktagon 47 card at the Tipos Aréna in Bratislava, Slovakia.
That main event saw Czech Republic’s Karlos Vémola return to face interim champion Pavol Langer, with Vémola putting his title on the line for the first time since winning the belt over a year ago. Since claiming 205lb gold, the former UFC fighter had competed in catchweight bouts, and made a failed attempt to claim a second title at middleweight.
Vemola would have a notable experience advantage over Langer, a Slovak fighting at home in the bout.
Also competing on Saturday’s Oktagon 47 card, Georgian prospect Amiran Gogoladze, and former UFC athlete Gustavo Lopez, who previously held an interim title in Oktagon’s bantamweight division.
Oktagon 47 takes place Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Tipos Aréna in Bratislava, Slovakia, streaming live via Oktagon.tv. Full results from the card can be found below.
