The UFC returns to the Apex this Saturday for UFC Vegas 79, a Fight Night card pitting two top lightweights against one another.
Rafael Fiziev, sitting at #6 in the division and coming off a loss against Justin Gaethje, was set to face off with Mateusz Gamrot in show’s main event, with Poland’s Gamrot just one spot back at #7. The card doesn’t drop off there, with the co-main event an equally intriguing featherweight match-up between Bryce Mitchell and Dan Ige — a fight that finds Mitchell looking to bounce back from the first loss of his professional career.
Also in action, Michelle “The Karate Hottie” Waterson-Gomez took on Marina Rodriguez in strawweight action, while TUF winner Bryan Battle was paired up with AJ Fletcher.
