Prediction: This is a tough fight to call. Jones is obviously the favorite and rightfully so. Jones has fought the much better competition and is the LFA lightweight champion. Allen is a product of AKA and has been very dominant in his MMA career. So dominant he’s shown no weaknesses at all. He’s doing all that fighting subpar competition though.
Both are wrestlers so we may see more of a striking fight in this one. Jones is decent on the feet. He has some upside but defensively, he gets hit too much. Allen has a knockout win but it only lasted 17 seconds. Allen looks sharp but there are only seconds of fight footage of him on his feet.
I say it lightly but I’ve been more impressed with Allen. Jones gets hit a lot, gets taken down, is caught in submissions, and slows down. Allen has only been in control not facing any adversity. I’m picking Allen because I think he may be better everywhere and he is also the bigger fighter which could come into play big time.
