Legacy Fighting Alliance touched down in Niagara Falls, NY on Friday night for LFA 167, featuring a local talent in Jonathan Piersma headlining the show.
Piersma’s only loss as a pro had come to current UFC fighter Charlie Radtke, with a three-fight win streak carrying him into LFA 167’s main event, with Contender Series alum Devin Smyth on the other side.
Smyth had lost two straight, including his DWCS appearance and his next bout under the LFA banner, coming into Friday night.
Earlier in the night, Canadian Ashley Nichols, a Niagara Top Team fighter, TKO tournament champion, and BTC strawweight champion returned to action, taking on Nadia Vera of Mexico. Nichols, in addition to some success on the Canadian scene, had shared the cage with the likes of Mallory Martin, Randa Markos, and Jaqueline Amorim, all future UFC fighters when “AK47” had faced them.
