Canada’s Unified MMA returned to action on Friday night, with Unified MMA 52 going down live at the BMO Centre in Calgary, Alberta.
In the main event, the promotion’s featherweight title was on the line as champ Maged Hammo looked to make the fourth defense of the title he won back in August of 2021. Three title defenses later and the 33-year old Hammo was paired up with John Nguyen, a BFL veteran making his third Unified MMA appearance.
Earlier on the Unified MMA 52 card, meanwhile, undefeated Kazakh prospect Ramil Kamilov faced off with Roberto Pixley in welterweight action. Five of Kamilov’s six wins had come inside the distance, and given the recent success of fighters out of Kazakhstan, he was clearly one to watch.
And in the co-main event, it was a catchweight affair between Tim Smith and Tom O’Connor.
Unified MMA streams live on UFC Fight Pass on Friday, September 8, 2023, kicking off at 11PM ET. Full results from the event can be found below.
