If it didn’t feel real before it does now as Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou held the kickoff press conference for ‘Battle Of The Baddest’ Fury vs. Ngannou in London, England on Thursday.
The fight itself doesn’t take place until this October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but that didn’t stop either man from making statements at the first press conference promoting the match.
Fury (33-0-1 boxing) is coming off a knockout victory over Derek Chisora last December. The undefeated boxer has taken out names such as Chisora, Deontay Wilder, Wladimir Klitschko and Dillian Whyte.
Ngannou (17-3 MMA) comes off six consecutive victories including knockout victories over Stipe Miocic, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Cain Velasquez, Curtis Blaydes and Alistair Overeem. He exited the UFC earlier this year following a protracted contract dispute with the organization, and was never defeated for his title.
Plenty of talking points have come from this match-up as the two boxers have dubbed this bout “Battle Of The Baddest”. The unbeaten Fury accepted the challenge of taking on the former UFC heavyweight champion in his first professional boxing match, and guaranteed them both a massive payday come fight night.
