Prediction: As an amateur Guerrero fought at featherweight and lightweight. When she turned pro she was fighting at bantamweight and is now a flyweight. Guerrero is now in great shape being much faster, leaner, and all-around better in all areas.

Barbosa is getting this fight on short notice and now she gets this big opportunity. Her two losses are to Bellator’s Jena Bishop and UFC’s Josiane Nunes. She does have a win over currently-ranked UFC fighter Karine Silva. Barbosa is a black belt in judo and a black belt in BJJ. She’s a multiple-time Brazilian national champion in judo and a multiple-time Pan-American medalist. She won her last two and her last three fights have been under the LFA banner.

The biggest obstacle for either fighter is the gap in experience between the two. Barbosa has fought fighters that are at a high level. Guerrero has fought nothing but low level competition in Texas. I can’t see Guerrero being ready for the UFC level right now. If she can keep the fight standing on Tuesday at DWCS she can probably find the chin of Barbosa. Barbosa has a big advantage on the feet and her speed and footwork can create a lot of problems for Guerrero. I’m picking Barbosa because she’s more battle-tested and has more ways to win.
