Two-time Muay Thai world champ Kongthoranee Sor Sommai threw down with Kyrgyzstani Sherzod Kabutov in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 31 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, the latest in the Friday Nights series from ONE Championship.
Muay Thai in 4oz gloves was, as always, the name of the name. But as has also become tradition, the card opened mixed martial arts action. In this case, the lone MMA fight saw the 7-1 Ilimbek Akylbek Uulu of Kyrgyzstan take on Russian Gadzhimurad Gasanguseinov, who was coming in off the first loss of his pro career — against Jesse Arnett under the UAE Warriors banner.
Uulu for his part had won four straight bouts.
