After a year on the sidelines thanks to a knee injury suffered in his fight with Curtis Blaydes last July, heavyweight Tom Aspinall made his return atop UFC London on Saturday.
Part of a new generation of heavyweight talent in the UFC, Aspinall, considered by many as future champ materual, was paired up with Marcin Tybura at the o2 Arena in London, England. And with a win, Aspinall could very well find himself right back on a track in a division ruled by Jon Jones — widely expected to retire after just another fight or two.
The UFC London co-main event saw Molly McCann looking to bounce back from a rough night at the office that saw her beat down by Erin Blanchfield last November. McCann had secured some of her biggest moments in London, however, including not one but two spinning back elbow finishes in 2022 that put her on the map as one of the most entertaining women in the division.
Also featured on the Fight Night card, featherweight staple Andre “Touchy” Fili was paired up with England’s own Nathaniel Wood.
Following Saturday’s UFC London, tune in for the evening’s post-fight press conference to stay on top of all the latest developments. A live stream of the proceeding is available in th embed above.
