One of the New England Cartel’s own will be competing at UFC 292 in Boston, MA this August.
Rob Font (20-6) will look to build on a recent win over Adrian Yanez when he takes on Song Yadong (20-7-1) at the PPV event, set for August 19, 2023 at Boston’s TD Garden.
UFC officials recently announced the match-up following an initial report by Eurosport.

Font snapped a two-fight skid when he stopped Yanez via TKO in the opening round of their UFC 287 match-up, earning a Performance of the Night bonus in the process.
Prior to that victory, Font had dropped bouts against Marlon Vera and Jose Aldo.
Yadong has won three of his last four fights, with the lone loss in that span coming due to a cut opened up in his fight with Corey Sandhagen last September. The Chinese bantamweight is coming off a Performance of the Night-winning TKO finish of Ricky Simon.
Font is ranked #7 in the UFC bantamweight division, while Yadong sits one spot behind him at #8.
The Boston card is headlined by a bantamweight title fight between champ Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley. Another key 135lb fight on the card sees Marlon Vera face off with ex-champ Henry Cejudo. The following match-ups have been reported for UFC 292 thus far:
