Bellator MMA offers up arguably the best card of the weekend this Friday, as Bellator 297 in Chicago, IL brings with it two title fights and a host of notable names.
Light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov headlines the event, defending his title against the seemingly ageless Yoel Romero. A multi-time UFC title challenger, the fight could very well represent Romero’s last shot at gold in a major promotion.
Two fights earlier, former champ Phil Davis and former title challenger and grand prix semifinalist Corey Anderson face off to determine who might be next in line for the winner.
The co-main event, however, is the fight many are waiting for. That sees Patricio Pitbull, a former double champ who still holds featherweight gold, drop down to 135lbs to take on Sergio Pettis for the Bellator bantamweight championship. No major promotion has ever featured a champ in three weight classes, and so Pitbull is looking to make history, which all starts Friday.
Weigh-ins get underway at 10AM ET on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Full results can be found below.
No misses at the scale on Thursday, as the full Bellator 297 card made weight.
