Terrance McKinney has his next date in the UFC octagon booked, and he got a little creative with his fight announcement.

McKinney (13-5) will face Nazim Sadykhov (8-1) at the UFC’s July 15, 2023 Fight Night card. Both fighters confirmed the booking, with McKinney himself breaking the news on social media. In rather humorous fashion.
Dressed in cowboy gear in an appropriate setting complete with a herd of cattle, McKinney announced in a video that he was looking for a “Black Wolf” — in reference to Sadykhov’s nickname. The video showed McKinney sporting a pair of six-shooters, though given they were dinosaur-shaped guns, there’s little worry of the UFC having their own Ja Morant issue.
His announcement also came complete with a “Wanted” poster for the “Black Wolf” — though curiously, it’s McKinney’s image pictured, not Sadykhov’s.
With a 3-2 record in the UFC, McKinney has built up a reputation as an exciting, must-watch fighter with a 100% finish rate in his 13 wins. Even in his losses, McKinney has never gone to a decision; he rarely, in fact, leaves the first round.
Sadykhov, a 2022 Contender Series graduate, picked up a doctor’s stoppage win in his promotional debut earlier this year, after opening up a cut on Evan Elder. He has not lost a fight since his professional debut in 2018.
The lightweight addition joines a growing Fight Night card set for the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Expected to be headlined by a women’s bantamweight match-up featuring Holly Holm and Mayra Bueno Silva, the UFC’s July 15, 2023 event currently features the following reported match-ups:
- Holly Holm vs. Mayra Bueno Silva
- Walt Harris vs. Josh Parisian
- Azat Maksum vs. Tyson Nam
- Ashlee Evans-Smith vs. Ailín Pérez
- Norma Dumont vs. Chelsea Chandler
- Jafel Filho vs. Juancamilo Ronderos
- Carl Deaton III vs. Alexander Munoz
- Francisco Prado vs. Ottman Azaitar
- Terrance McKinney vs. Nazim Sadykhov
