Tyson Fury was not happy about recent comments made by podcast host and UFC commentator Joe Rogan.

Rogan, a longtime UFC employee, recently said that even Fury doesn’t believe he could beat UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones in a fight.

“No one thinks that. Tyson doesn’t think that. You want to talk about who’s the baddest man on the planet? If Jon Jones and Tyson Fury are locked into a room, I’m pushing all my chips onto black.”

“Tyson Fury is an amazing boxer, he doesn’t have a chance in hell of making it out of that room.”

The threat of the takedown “looms so large,” noted Rogan, while Fury would have to catch Jones early.

Fury, despite Rogan questioning the heavyweight champ’s self-belief, certainly doesn’t agree.

In his Instagram Story, Fury gave his response, ripping into “bald-headed midget” Rogan (h/t MMA Junkie).

“I heard Joe Rogan say something about me, I’ve been off all the social medias and didn’t reply to that little p*ssy, little f*cking midget, bald-headed midget,” Fury stated. “I heard him say that Jon Jones could f*ck me up if we were in a room together. I don’t think so.

“Not a man born from a mother could f*ck me up, in a room, on our own. Whatever happens in that room, I’d be walking out. Not a f*cking problem.”

It’s one of those arguments that goes back to the very genesis of mixed martial arts: who would win in a fight, the boxer or the wrestler? Of course, modern mixed martial artists tend to train in all aspects of combat, while boxers are specialists — but the argument is still a fun one, at least until you realize that it’ll never happen.

Jon Jones is under contract with the UFC. Tyson Fury is not. Though Bones, chiming in on the controversy, welcomes Fury to give MMA a shot.

Hey Tyson, it seem like Joe may have struck a nerve,” Jones wrote on social media. “I’ll admit there’s no one touching you in that ring right now, but let’s not let that confuse you with what would happen if you stepped foot in my cage. If you ever want to put some of those questions you got going on to rest, give Dana a call. I’ll help you out.”

Spoiler: it won’t happen. Fury vs. Francis Ngannou, in boxing or some sort of hybrid (boxing with MMA gloves, for example), is at least possible. Fury deciding to take up MMA this late in his career? Nope. Boy would it be fun though.
