Scottish light heavyweight Paul Craig will once again be competing in London this summer.
Make that former light heavyweight. Craig (16-6-1), who fought in London, England twice last year, will face Andre Muniz (23-5) at UFC London on July 22, 2023.
The Scottish standout will be making the drop to 185lbs in the fight, which was announced by UFC officials on Thursday.
In making the move down to middleweight, Craig will be looking to snap a two-fight skid that has seen him suffer back-to-back defeats against Johnny Walker and Volkan Oezdemir. Prior to that, “Bearjew” had run up a four fight win streak, knocking off top light heavyweight Nikita Krylov, and the man who is now champion, Jamahal Hill.
Muniz had a nine-fight win streak snapped when he suffered his first loss in the UFC opposite Brendan Allen earlier this year. The Brazilian, like Craig, is a dangerous submission fighter who retired Jacare Souza in 2021 with a broken arm.
UFC London once again goes down at the O2 Arena, and will be headlined by returning heavyweight Tom Aspinall taking on Marcin Tybura. The following match-ups have been reported for the card thus far:
