“Le Meilleur” boasts an impressive kickboxing record of 75-7-1 and is someone a lot of MMA fans have been excited about since his transition to MMA back in 2022. The 30-year-old is a former 2x Glory kickboxing welterweight champion, where he successfully defended his title five times across both reigns.
Doumbe was briefly signed to the UFC back in September of last year and was scheduled to take on Darian Weeks on the UFC’s inaugural event in France. Despite that, a few weeks away from his scheduled bout, he was removed by the local commission for being too inexperienced.
The PFL have this year made their push into the European MMA scene with the introduction of their European league, however, Doumbe will compete on their global roster.
Cedric Doumbe is scheduled to attend the PFL Europe Playoff at Zenith Paris La Villette in Paris on Saturday, September 30th, where he will be unveiled as their new signing.
“Cedric Doumbe is one of the greatest athletes in the world and a tremendous addition to the Professional Fighters League global roster,” said PFL President of Fighter Operations Ray Sefo in a press release announcing the signing. “Cedric dominated the sport of kickboxing and is poised to do the same in MMA. He is one of the most talented fighters in the world and will make an immediate impact here in the PFL.”
