The UFC’s return to Jacksonville, Florida continues to grow.
Among the most recent additions, Neil Magny (27-10) is expected to face off against Phil Rowe (10-3) at the Fight Night event, which is set to air on broadcast network ABC.
That makes UFC Jacksonville UFC on ABC 5. MMA Junkie was first to report news of the Magny vs. Rowe booking; Rowe subsequently confirmed the welterweight scrap on his Instagram story.
Magny has been a staple of the 170lb division for years. He’ll be looking to return to the win column against Rowe, after starting the year with a submission loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 283.
Prior to that setback, the 35-year old Magny had earned a win against Daniel Rodriguez last November.
Rowe has won three straight, all via TKO. Most recently, he stopped Niko Price; the only negative, “The Fresh Prince” missed weight. That’s something that has happened in two of Rowe’s last three fights.
Neil Magny sits at #10 in the UFC’s welterweight division at the moment. Rowe is not ranked, and will be looking to crack the top 15 for the first time.
UFC Jacksonville will be headlined by a featherweight fight featuring Team Alpha Male standout Josh Emmett against Ilia Topuria. The following match-ups have been reported for the event, which takes place on June 24, 2023 at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida:
