Fresh off an impressive win at UFC San Antonio, Nate Landwehr already has his next fight booked.
Landwehr (17-4) is set to face Dan Ige (16-6) at UFC 289 on June 10, at a location yet to be officially announced.
News of the featherweight pairing was first reported by MMA Fighting.
Nate “The Train” Landwehr, a former M-1 featherweight champ, has built up a solid head of steam over the past year, winning three straight fights inside the octagon. That includes three straight post-fight bonuses: Fight of the Night for a majority decision win over David Onama last year, and Performance of the Night for submissions of L’udovit Klein and Austin Lingo.
The 34-year old has become a fan favorite both for electrifying action inside the cage, and fiery post-fight interviews after the fact.
Hawaii’s Dan Ige recently returned to the win column care of a knockout victory against Damon “The Leech” Jackson. The snapped a three-fight skid that had seen Ige lose bouts to Movsar Evloev, Josh Emmett, and The Korean Zombie.
UFC 289 does not currently have a main event announced, but the following fights have been reported for June’s Pay-Per-View card:
- Miranda Maverick vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius
- Eryk Anders vs. Marc-André Barriault
- Diana Belbiţă vs. Maria Oliveira
- Blake Bilder vs. Kyle Nelson
- Matt Schnell vs. David Dvořák
- Dan Ige vs. Nate Landwehr
