The UFC has tapped a pair of lightweight stars to headline the promotion’s April 29 event.
Arman Tsarukyan (19-3) will face Renato Moicano (17-5-1) at the Fight Night event late next month, per a report by Meta MMA.
Moicano confirmed the match-up on social media on Thursday.
For Brazil’s Moicano, the bout will be his second main event in the promotion, after headlining a card in 2019 in a losing effort against The Korean Zombie. With over eight years in the UFC, Moicano has begun to find his stride, and is 3-1 in his last four, with the lone loss coming on short notice against former lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos.
In that same span, Moicano has picked up wins over Jai Herbert, Alexander Hernandez, and most recently, Brad Riddell.
Tsarukyan is also entering his second main event with the company, after dropping a decision to Mateusz Gamrot the first time around. In his last outing, Tsarukyan got back in the win column against Damir Ismagulov.
Armenian-Russian Tsarukyan is currently ranked #8 in the UFC’s 155lb division, while Moicano is #13.
