Two more fights have been added to next month’s Invicta FC 52, rounding out the card in Denver, Colorado on March 15.
On Tuesday, promotion officials announced via press release the strawweight prospect Shauna Bannon (4-0) will face former two-time atomweight title challenger Minna Grusander (6-4) in a 115lb match-up at the event. Finland’s Grusander will be making the move up to strawweight for the first time under the Invicta FC banner in the fight.
The Fin previously competed at 115lbs outside of the promotion.
Also added to the card, Fatima “The Archangel” Kline (3-0) will welcome Russian judoka Natalia Kuziutina (1-0) to the promotion.
Invicta FC 52 takes place at ReelWorks Denver in Denver, CO.
Bannon recently made our 10 Female Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2023 feature. “Momma B” is a 29-year old Irish standout who has two stoppages and two decisions among her four wins. She made her Invicta FC debut in September 2022, defeating the previously unbeaten Nadia Vera.
The rest of Bannon’s pro fights have come under the Cage Legacy banner, where she has won both the women’s flyweight and strawweight titles.
Grusander, who lost a pair of atomweight title fights to Jinh Yu Frey in 2018, will be fighting for just the second time since. In 2020, she returned to action under the Oktagon MMA banner, losing a decision against Magdaléna Šormová.
Now 33, Grusander won gold at the 2015 IMMAF amateur world championships.
