ONE Championship flyweight Muay Thai champ Rodtang Jitmuangnon will take part in the promotion’s U.S. debut this May.
Rodtang will defend his title against Edgar Tabares at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5, 2023 in Broomfield, Colorado, the promotion announced on Wednesday.

Just 25 years old, Rodtang is considered one of the pound-for-pound best in Muay Thai, and holds a record boasting over 300 professional bouts — with his record standing at 272-42-10.
In a mixed rules bout last March at ONE X, the promotion’s 10th anniversary celebration, Rodtang was submitted by Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson in a mixed rules contest. But in striking, he’s been top notch, defending his Muay Thai title on multiple occasions.
Before facing Tabares at ONE Fight Night 10, the Thai striker will face Superlek Kiatmuu9 for ONE’s flyweight kickboxing world championship in March.
Mexico’s Tabares became first Mexican-born athlete to capture the WBC Muay Thai International title last year, defeating Italian Carmelo Ragona on the scorecards.
ONE Fight Night 10 is set for the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, CO on May 5, 2023. The card is expected to be headlined by Detemrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes in the rubber match of their trilogy. Thus far, the following match-ups have been reported for the event:
- Demetrious Johnson (c) vs. Adriano Moraes — for the ONE flyweight championship
- Rodtang (c) vs. Edgar Tabares — for the ONE flyweight Muay Thai championship
- Sage Northcutt vs. Ahmed Mujtaba
