Female prospect of the year: Dakota Ditcheva (7-0)
Ditcheva won the award for the best female flyweight this year and she is also the best female prospect period. As stated in part one, Ditcheva had a heck of a year. Some may be disappointed she signed with PFL but it’s a really good move for her considering she’s only 24. This year she fought twice in PFL and four times altogether. She won all four and in PFL she’s scored two big first-round TKOs.
Male prospect of the year: Abdoul Abdouraguimov (15-1, 1 NC)
The final award goes to Abdoul Abdouraguimov who has won the most awards in this series. Abdouraguimov has won the best welterweight prospect, European prospect, and is the Male prospect of the year. As stated in part one and two, Abdouraguimov arguably had the best year of his career. He has two wins as he beat former UFC fighter Godofredo Pepey. That was for the Ares FC title and then he defended it against veteran Karl Amoussou. Abdouraguimov should never have been mentioned here due to the fact the UFC went to Paris this year and he was an obvious choice. He got snubbed from the UFC but he’s not snubbed in these awards.
