The UFC wrapped up its 2022 on Saturday night in Las Vegas with UFC Vegas 66, featuring a number of ranked contenders, including two top middleweights in the main event.
That fight saw Jared Cannonier, who challenged for the 185lb title back in July, up against Sean Strickland, who fell to Alex Pereira on the very same card. The winner would push themselves closer to title contention in a division blown wide open when Pereira knocked out Israel Adesanya last month.
The action didn’t stop there, as fan faves Drew Dober and Bobby Green had been paired up in a high octane lightweight affair. As Dober put it earlier this week, the match-up was speed versus power, with Dober adding his granite chin to the mix.
In the co-main event, meanwhile, a pair of rising stars were paired up in Arman Tsarukyan vs. Damir Ismagulov, with Tsarukyan looking to bounce back from a loss to Mateuz Gamrot in his last outing.
On the prelims, names like Cheyanne Vlismas (facing Cory McKenna) and TUF 29 winner Bryan Battle were in action.
Following the UFC Vegas 66 broadcast, tune in for the post-fight press conference, wrapping things up for the night — and the year. A live stream is available above.
