Las Vegas, NV – Co-main event on a PPV, a big name opponent, life couldn’t be more exciting for UFC lightweight Jared Gordon who takes on Paddy Pimblett at UFC 282 on Saturday night.
Gordon (19-5) will take on one of the more exciting fighters on the roster and a clear up-and-comer in the UFC in Pimblett.
“Super excited. Eyes are on us and I think we are the true main event right now. Not to take anything away from the main event, but those guys are really stoic. I’m not the most charismatic person at times, but Paddy sure is,” Gordon told Cageside Press among other media on Wednesday.
“I think it’s going to be a great fight. Super excited, can’t wait to get in there.”
An opponent like Pimblett brings a lot of eyes to a fight with his loud personality and willingness to talk the talk.
“I think it’s great man. I think he’s great for the sport. I like him, I liked him from the start, even before UFC when he was in Cage Warriors. To get a chance to get in there with someone like him…you know I put myself right in this position to be in this moment. Everything that I did I walked left, I walked right, I lost, I won and it led me right here,” Gordon said.
“It’s just an opportunity that I have to seize just like everything else in life and that’s what I’m going to do.”
