Orlando, FL – UFC flyweight Tracy Cortez has been pulled from her fight against Amanda Ribas at UFC Orlando due to a medical issue. With no replacement available at such a late notice the fight has been canceled.
The promotion announced the cancelation on Friday following the official weigh-ins in Orlando.
Both Cortez and Ribas made weight successfully, but shortly after they hit the scale Tracy Cortez was pulled off the card.
The UFC has not detailed what went wrong with Cortez, and no word of rescheduling the bout has been released by the promotion.
Cortez (10-1) is riding a 4-fight win streak and is coming off a decision victory over Melissa Gatto at UFC 274 in her hometown of Phoenix, AZ back in May.
Ribas (11-3) was coming off a loss against Katlyn Chookagian in May at the UFC APEX.
