ONE Championship returned to Amazon’s Prime Video platform on Friday with ONE on Prime Video 5 — featuring double-champ Reinier de Ridder looking to defend his light heavyweight title against Anatoly Malykhin.
Having spent the bulk of his career as a heavyweight, Malykhin was making the move down in weight for a chance at a second belt on Friday.
While a second title fight in ONE’s lightweight grappling division served as co-headliner, a planned Muay Thai title unification bout between Janet Todd and Allycia Hellen Rodrigues dropped off the event last-minute after Todd tested positive for COVID-19. That, however, paved the way for heavyweight Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane to join ONE on Prime Video 5.
Senegal’s Kane was set to take on Jasur Mirzamukhamedov in a fight originally planned for ONE 164.
ONE on Prime Video 5 gets underway at 8PM ET on Prime Video. Full results and a live stream of the preliminary card action, where available, can be found below.
