Orlando, FL – UFC middleweight Eryk Anders comes into UFC Orlando against Kyle Daukaus needing a win after suffering two consecutive losses. He looks to right the ship on Saturday night.
Anders (14-7) faces Daukaus who had previously said that Anders will be looking for a brawl since it favors his style of fighting.
“I don’t think he’s wrong, you know? That’s just the kind of fighter I am. I got to make it ugly, I got to make it dirty. Specially after my last fight. I can’t let it go to the judges, you know what I mean,” Anders told the media on Wednesday.
“I definitely want to try and get in there, get him out, get paid, hit downtown and see what Orlando talking about.”
Brawling aside Anders knows he has to continue to grow as a fighter specially with all the new talent already coming in being pretty well-rounded.
“I think like as a fighter you need to like be constantly evolving, but like you are who you are like at your core, you know what I mean? When it gets tough in there, when it gets rough, we know what Eryk is going to come out,” he said.
“Deep down inside I want it to look pretty, I want it to look nice, but it just doesn’t. So I’ve just got to go in there, make it ugly, and fight how I fight.”
