Glendale, AZ — You knew that with Nate Diaz and his entourage in the house, things were going to get interesting on Saturday night at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, AZ — host of the Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva boxing spectacle.
And they did. Diaz, whose team member Chris Avila picked up a decision win over Youtuber “Dr. Mike” to open the Pay-Per-View card, was shown on screen several times throughout the night. What was not shown on screen was the alternation that broke out between Jake Paul’s camp, and the Diaz camp, backstage at the arena not too long after Avila’s win, and immediately after UFC star Uriah Hall’s victory.
Amidst calls for more security, several beverages were thrown, though ultimately the two sides were separated. Cageside Press was in the house covering the event, and captured the video below.

As of yet, there’s no word on what set off the incident in question. Diaz has been positioned as a possible future foe for Paul for some time, and recently fought out his UFC contract with a win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 this past September.
Additional footage from Happy Punch shows Diaz apparently shoving a member of Paul’s group.

Of course, where Nate Diaz goes, trouble seems to follow, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Jake Paul faces UFC legend Anderson Silva in the main event of tonight’s Showtime card.
