Las Vegas, NV – UFC middleweight Dusko Todorovic comes into UFC Vegas 62 needing to get back into the winner’s column as he takes on Jordan Wright on Saturday night at the UFC APEX.
Todorovic (11-3) celebrates his two-year anniversary with the UFC where he has gone 2-3 not counting his victory in Dana White’s Contender Series in 2020.
“For these two years I’ve managed to have a roller coaster ride and kind of see everything that there is to see from fighter’s perspective. I’m looking forward to what is yet to come,” Todorovic told Cageside Press among other media.
Todorovic comes off a loss in May where Chidi Njokuani scored the KO victory in the first round. It brought the reality of MMA once again for Todorovic.
“You can have it going your way and then in a second everything turns. When I later come home, watched the video, analyzed what went wrong….at the end of the day I made a mistake which my opponent capitalized on. Hat’s off to him it was his game plan, his tactics that wasn’t a lucky shot,” Todorovic said.
“A lot of people tried to make me feel better, oh it was a lucky shot, I’m like no it wasn’t. He was practicing that in training. I made the mistake. My head coach and I looked up to that fight and we’ve seen a mistake I made.”
In that fight Todorovic’s head coach was not able to make the trip due to visa issues, but he will be in his corner for this bout against Jordan Wright.
“That time my coach wasn’t with me. Unfortunately he couldn’t get visa ready. But this time, for the first time in my UFC career, he will be with me in Vegas. I think that will most likely make a difference,” said Todorovic.
“It really does make a difference when you have your coach in between rounds telling you what to do or before the fight. He texted my other cornerman just as we were going out to the octagon, he texted him ‘Be careful. Watch out for the elbows’. So you see what I’m talking about.”
