If you thought you had seen the end of Marlon Moraes in MMA well then think again. Turns out retirement wasn’t quite what Moraes wanted and he has signed with the Professional Fighter’s League.
First reported by MMAFighting.
Moraes, 34, has signed with PFL and will compete at 145-pounds for the 2023 season according to his manager Ali Abdelaziz.
It’s a return to the organization where Moraes made his name (PFL was formerly known as World Series Of Fighting) where he defended his bantamweight title five times.
Moraes (23-10-1) had announced his retirement after his knockout loss to Song Yadong at UFC Vegas 50 in April. He is currently on a 4-fight losing streak.
No word on when exactly he’s expected to enter the cage for PFL as of yet.
