Joe Riggs would no doubt be familiar to UFC fans, and was still marching on in his combat sports career at BKFC 29 on Saturday. But it was the inaugural women’s strawweight title fight that topped the card at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls, Montana.
Hart had originally been scheduled to face a different foe for her shot at gold. Visa issues, however, pumped the brakes on a fight with Fani Peloumpi. Enter Charisa Sigala, who had been expected to face Paige VanZant in London last month. With that fight being pulled on short notice, Sigala was bumped to an October date with PVZ, but an even bigger opportunity arrived on Saturday.
BKFC 29 takes place live on Saturday, September 10, 2022 and airs via the BKFC App. Full results can be found below.
