A pair of former Invicta FC strawweight champions will collide as part of the UFC’s December 3 card.
Angela Hill (14-12) is expected to face Emily Ducote (12-6) at the Fight Night event on December 3, 2022. MMA Junkie was first to report the news on Thursday; Ducote would later confirm the match-up on his Instagram Story.
Ducote made a successful UFC debut last month, defeating former title challenger Jessica Penne via unanimous decision to pick up her first win in the promotion. Prior to that, “Gordinha” had defended her Invicta FC 115 pound title with a TKO win against Alesha Zappitella.
A former Bellator MMA flyweight title challenger, Ducote won the then-vacant Invicta FC strawweight strap with a head kick KO of former UFC fighter Danielle Taylor a year ago.
Hill (14-12) snapped a three-fight losing streak earlier this month when she got the better of Loopy Godinez at UFC San Diego. Like Ducote, Hill previously held gold in Invicta FC, winning the title in 2016 against Livia Renata Souza and defending it once. “Overkill,” who had briefly fought for the UFC prior to her Invicta stint, then returned to the big show, and has not looked back, becoming known as the “female Cowboy” for her busy schedule and willingness to take on all comers.
The UFC’s December 3, 2022 card is expected to take place in Orlando, Florida. The following fights have been reported for the event to date:
