Richie Miranda is looking for a short night in his next bout.
LFA 140 goes down this Friday from New Town, North Dakota, and will be headlined by a flyweight championship fight. A little earlier in the night, Miranda (4-0) takes on Elijah Harris in an exciting lightweight fight.
Miranda is coming off a big win over a top prospect back in April, Devon Dixon. The California fighter submitted him in the third round and is happy about his performance that night.
“That was a big fight. I actually got to show a lot during that fight,” Miranda told Cageside Press in a recent interview. “I got to show my striking, my ground, and then my top game, you know, so it shows that I’m a well-rounded fighter. Most importantly, I showed that I’m a finisher, you know, I go out there, and I finish fights.”
“El Machete” holds a 100% finish rate so far in his career- four fights, four finishes. Miranda is looking to continue his finishing ways this Friday against Harris.
“I think it’s a good match-up. I mean, it’s another wrestler; he’s kind of well-rounded,” Miranda said. “He does a lot of wrestling from the film I’ve seen, and he throws a right hand. I’m ready to counter everything, and I can take the fight anywhere I want. I know I can finish it and I’m going to finish it… I’m visualizing a first-round finish. But you know, I’m a finisher. So either way, second round, third round, no matter I’m getting a finish.”
