A pair of Contender Series veterans will face off at the UFC’s November 5, 2022 Fight Night event.
Jake Hadley (8-1) and Carlos Candelario (8-2) are expected to meet on the card, which marks the sophomore outing in the UFC for both flyweights. Both men will be seeking their first UFC win in the bout.
MMA Fighting was first to report the news, with Hadley later confirming the booking on his Instagram Story.
England’s Hadley won his way into the UFC after defeating TUF veteran Mitch Raposo on Dana White’s Contender Series last year — though his attitude during fight week drew a sharp rebuke from UFC President Dana White. Nevertheless, White opted to give Hadley a shot in the UFC — and he would go on to lose his debut against the vastly more experienced Allan Nascimento this past May.
Candelario also lost his first UFC fight, dropping his own May debut against Tatsuro Taira. The flyweight actually lost his Contender Series appearance, but was granted a UFC contract regardless after a strong showing against Victor Altamirano.
The UFC’s November 5, 2022 Fight Night card does not yet have a location or venue announced. The following bouts have been reported for the event:
