A pair of talented Brazilian grapplers were set to face off at Friday’s Bellator 284 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Former title challenger Neiman Gracie was paired up with Goiti Yamauchi, competing in his third weigh class after kicking off his career at featherweight, and later lightweight.
In the co-main event, heavyweights Valentin Moldavsky and Steve Mowry were set to face off, while elsewhere on the card, former women’s flyweight champ Ilima-Lei Macfarlane looked to snap a two-fight skid against Bruna Ellen.
Austin Vanderford, who came up short against Gegard Mousasi for the middleweight title earlier this year, was also set to return, against short-notice fighter Aaron Jeffery.
