The biggest UFC card of summer arrives this Saturday, as UFC 276 caps off International Fight Week, 2022.
While an annual spectacle for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, this year’s event seemed built to offer a little something for everyone. Veterans like Jim Miller, Cowboy Cerrone, and Robbie Lawler were set to appear, young upstarts including Sean O’Malley and Ian Garry featured prominently, and two title fights capped off the night.
In the first, Alexander Volkanovski would run it back with former champ Max Holloway, the man he had won the title from — despite already having two wins over the Hawaiian. With stubborn tenacity, ample heart and a massive amount of talent, Holloway had refused to cough up the number one contender’s spot in the featherweight division, securing another crack at the Australian after losing a razor-thin, controversial decision in their last engagement.
In the main event, Israel Adesanya, firmly entrenched as one of the promotion’s biggest stars, put his middleweight title on the line against “new blood,” as he put it. Jared Cannonier, was 38, and looking at an opportunity to build his own legacy.
Ahead of Saturday’s UFC 276 card at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV, the UFC a final pre-fight press conference. Tune in for the live stream above starting at 6PM ET.
